I have an old AVS bug deflector 2 I'd like to install but I need the installation hardware kit. Nowhere to be found online.

Does anyone have any idea what size clips fit into the holes on the underside of the hood for the install? They appear to be square holes.

Or links to parts you used? I grabbed this screenshot from a YouTube video.

When I removed mine from my 21 and replaced it on my 24 I got some at Auto Zone. They weren’t white as I recall but they snapped in.

Honestly, they seem to be a pretty reputable company that likes seeing its customers happy; I'm betting they'd send you some for the asking. Worth a shot at least.

I actually found the inserts at the hardware store today. In the section where they have all the little drawers that pull out filled with nuts and bolts and screws and washers and little parts.

They are 100% identical in shape to the ones that came with my bug deflector, but made of a different material. They're a different color than pictured above. Instead of the opaque white-ish color they are a light tan color. Appears to be a harder, more brittle material but I'll try them out.

FYI-- The screws that came with my deflector appear to be #12 x 5/8". I'll reuse them.
