Had a blast attending this year’s RMTR. Lots of fun spending the week with the event organizers, trail leaders and participants. As someone new to taking their rig off road I took an intro. to off road class and gradually built up to tackling Imogene Pass at the end of the week with progressively harder trails. Highly recommend participating if you have the chance. Hope to return in 26 after my BC Whistler trip next year.

That's awesome! Every year I see this and think to myself that I should go, but so far haven't.

How was it set up? I have visions of a line of dozens of vehicles, which seems terrible to me. Was it set up into smaller, guided groups?

I think I might have scooched passed you guys as your group was descending the Ouray side of Engineer pass!

I went with a buddy to who used to live there and had done the trails. He took his rubicon and I went in the 4runner. I didn’t know the toyota event was happening until my campsite neighbor in an orange 4runner asked if I came for the roundup (Didn’t occur to me to ask him if he was on this forum).

I drove by a staging area in Ridgway with a bunch of the roundup group. Lots of nice rigs!

Over 175 rigs total but permitted to be in groups no larger than 10 on the trail I believe. I guarantee you’ll definitely want to come back if you attend. I’m already looking forward to running Imogene again.

Oh perfect! Small groups on the trail sounds great and is definitely my preference.

Ok, I'm going to make 2025 the year I go.

You won’t be disappointed. Just keep hitting refresh on your internet browser when registration time comes. Set up a RMTR free account with notifications beforehand too. It’ll save you time when the mad scramble to register comes. I think it sold out in 10 minutes when I registered.
