    Hi All,

my PCS recently came on saying to visit the dealer. I am trying to get an exact error code on what the issue is so I can fix it. I got an OBDII reader on Amazon but its saying there is nothing wrong an no codes. anyone have suggestions on how to get the error code.

    Thanks,

PCS? Also a standard code reader will only read CELs. It doesn’t have the capability of reading codes from other modules.

It's your Pre Collision System. Basically it's the sensor in your windshield. Make sure it has a clear line of sight and the glass isn't cracked or chipped. If it's clean and looks fine, take it to the dealer.

I do need a new windshield so that might be the issue too.

mine tripped last weekend on a early morning trip upstate. Apparently a large moth/bug hit the windshield and splattered junk all over. Took me about 15 mins to figure it out it was blocked and cleaned it off. Light off, also cleaned the TSS just to be sure

    It can be sensitive to
    a) any blockage of the camera on your windshield
    b) dust, water, bugs and debris on the front and top of your grill mounted sensor.

I’ve had mine come on during drives in dusty trails and clear right up after driving a bit on freeway speeds.
Windshield was clear and so was the face of the sensor, so it’s probably accumulation that occurs on the top side of the grill mounted sensor.

The owners manual has an informative section on this.

    I have the same thing.

I have Techstream and have tried to realign/calibrate it without success. I’ve cleaned the sensor the windshield, unplugged and reconnected the sensor to make sure all that is good. I give up, I’m taking mine to the dealer Thursday. I thought about buying a new sensor for $250 but I’ll have the dealer check it first. If they come back at a huge cost I may try one more DIY approach with a new sensor.
