I’ve owned a 3rd gen in the past for a little bit. But now I have the opportunity to buy a 4th gen for what I think is a decent price at 8500(is there a price that would be worth it to buy at). I’m wondering if the mileage outweighs the other pros of the car, anything to be wary about or a bad by? Here’s the description:

    2003 V8 with 225,600 miles.

Suspension and exhaust all replaced a little over a year ago. About 5000 miles on it.

    - Magnaflow overland exhuast.

    - Bilstein 5100 shocks in front and rear.

    - Old Man Emu 2.5 inch lift medium load springs in front and rear.

    - Old man emu upper control arms and new stock lowers.

    - Stock wheels with Falken 265/75R16 tires.

    - Tires have about 25,000 miles.

    - Frame has minimal rust.

    - No rust on exterior.

Timing belt replaced around 200,000 miles. Also has new charcoal canister. New fuel sending unit.

2WD or 4WD, what state (prices vary in some locations)?

Really need to see photos of the frame just saying "minimum rust" doesn't do it IMHO, these frames are susceptible to major rust, so photos is a must just to consider buying, then a personal inspection prior to committing to buying.

Lots with more in the works
Rust aside, I bought my 2003 V8 with 289k miles on it and have 348200 or so now. With proper maintenance, mileage is nothing on these trucks. Your biggest concern is if it's 4WD, does the transfer case shift without issues?

A factor for me is whether you have the multi-mode transfer case that can toggle 4WD on-road or not. It’s a plus of the 4th gen that got gated behind top trim in the 5th and wasn’t added to the third until almost the end of its run.
