Anyone have any mods for driving in 2 low? I know some of those older Toyotas and Lexus can do this. Would be great on some of the trails.

Never seen anyone do in on a 5th gen but I guess you can disrupt the signal to the ADD but you may not get low range with an electronic case. I don't see a need for it though.

Nice to have gearing on some switchbacks or tight turns. Especially at elevation.

I mean just keep it in low and turn. The case will take it.

Locker mod for that. I did it in my 2nd gen Tacoma and it worked great but haven't done it with the Runner.

Can you do it for g5? My g1 taco had this with grey wire mod.

It's on TW. I don't wheel as much as I used to so haven't seen the need for it.

Hit a couple of situations over last few weeks where it would have been nice to have low gears in rear but driving front wheels undesirable

As previously mentioned, the Tacobox will accomplish this. Also, if you have a manual transfer case, it is possible by removing the interlock pin and replacing the single stick with two.

** I think there are shift fork clearance modifications required too.
