I believe that extended shank doesn't go into the spare steely. Thats why it has a conical seat at the very tip.

The lug nuts he's using are correct for that type of wheel. Just needs longer studs if you want full thread engagement.

I have ET lugs and longer studs on the way. Hoping the ET lugs work!
So, I can run my existing turd wheels and steelies with just a lug swap

 

These are not compatible with steelies.

 

OEM lugnuts, they were pricey tho

I don't believe ET lugs are combatable with the stock steely.

I bought some Dorman ones (similar to Toyota OE above) from Orielly's. Those are in my spare tire tool bag... Aftermarket wheel problems.
They were a couple bucks each.

They work fine for the spare but don't provide full thread engagement due to the short studs on the front.

Factory wheels use ET "Mag Type Seat" with a "conical seat" at the very end of the lug nut. This can be used for both types of wheels if you have a blowout.

But if you're running steelies 100% of the time you should consider longer studs to get full engagement on "conical seat" lug nuts.

 

I have an assortment of lugs and studs on the way, should have it resolved next week!
