I’m rethinking the westcott lift after the past weekend. Maybe switching over to the Eibach springs or going back to stock on my Pro. Westcott been on for about 2500 miles.

    Why are you rethinking it?

    Your running 285s right?

Yes on the 285’s. When lift first put on I liked how it rode and handled. But after this weekend being on a lot of back road with hard bumps and dips you definitely feel the difference from the stock Pro shocks. I’m knocking the westcott lift cause it does look good on the stance. But when I had the Eibach springs on my 20 Pro it did not bother me. The reason I chose not to go with Eibach is the new springs are nose high too much. May switch to the 21-22 springs. Have to think this over.

Depending on your offset you might be able to clear 285s. I have 1/4 hat spacers on my trd pro struts to clear my 285s. But also had to do a bmc(because of my offset)

Thanks Joshua, Yeah I may try and run my 285’s and putting my Pro back to stock. What is your offset wheels? Mine is -10. Also if I decide to go back to stock size tire not worried about it. Either way there will be a moved made. Lol.

My offset is -12+ 1.25 spacers. Do you have aftermarket bumpstops?

I'm running the 21'-22' Eibach spring kit on my 2024 TRD Pro - no issues. There is a slight rake which I prefer in case I'm loaded up or towing. Note: I'm running the stock size 265s. The rear springs in the 21-22 kit and the 23-24 kit are the same part number. If I were to go to 285s in the future, I would probably swap out the front springs for the 23-24 version and add a 10mm spacer in the back to maintain a slight rake. You can buy the front springs separately. I haven't tried to fit 285s so this is my personal take...

One idea I am throwing around is possibly going with Eibach fronts and Icon 2” rear springs. Found a guy who posted on Reddit that went that route. Leaves the rake but gives that extra inch of lift all the way around. Just weighing whether that’s going to be too much lift for me personally. Back to contemplating the Westcott lift.

I have been thinking it over and looking it over with owners on Facebook who have been posting pics with the 23-24 springs. I’m leaning towards 23-24 springs if I decide to pull the westcott. I’m not to happy with some of the roads that I have taken my Pro on with the westcott and how the vehicle feels.

I wanted to have a matched, engineered system that allowed me to keep the fox shocks. It's a little softer than my 2018 4Runner TRD Off-road with the Bilstein 5100s front (1st notch) and rear with a 10mm OME spacer in the back to maintain a slight rake, but it's a decent compromise - needed to keep max. towing capacity just in case. You have to ask yourself what you ultimately want to to with your runner.

@RusPro17 You mentioned that you liked the Eibach springs on your 2020 Pro. I have read the 4Runner TRD PRO FOX shocks starting in model year 2021 have be re-valved. It would be interesting if you put on the 21-22 springs and could tell a difference in the re-valve.

Hey RiverDog, Yes I did like the Eibach’s on my 20 Pro. I have not added the Eibach springs to my 23 Pro yet. Still have not decided which ones.

Hey Joseph, I have more thoughts of just adding the 23-24 springs to the front and not touch the back. Help on cost but then I cannot sell my whole westcott lift. I think not touching my spacer in the rear will give me perfect stance with the 23-24 springs.

That would be interesting as well. How much more of a rear lift is the Westcott spacer?

Also, on the Westcott, were the issues on paved roads that were just rough? Or non paved roads? I am really debating on just trying the Westcott as well to see how I like it. Still worry 2.5 inches is just a little too much for me in the front.

1.5 rear westcott. Roads were paved but a lot of bumps and dips. Me personally I think the springs handle it better. Highway is fine but I seem to notice it more on bumpy back roads that are paved. I have seen a few pics with the new Eibach springs on Facebook where they have settled and the 4runner is completely level not being nose high. Also spoke with someone personally and they said it’s has settled since it was added a few thousands miles ago.

You can also I have thought about this I could sell my westcott and buy a one inch spacer to add to the new Eibach springs for the rear.

Any links to those pics on Facebook by chance? I thought the rear Westcott was closer to 1.25. That might actually work well though. I am also curious if the supercharger will cause the front to settle a little. It more in my case. Installer said it’s close to an extra 75-100 pounds added up front.

I’m sorry typo yes it 1.25. Let find the pics and post them for you. It would be nice to have supercharger.

Thanks! I’m starting to think that’s just too tall in the front for me in general. It definitely needs that extra height in the back from my eyes. It may be dead level but still angles make it look a little nose high.

No problem. I’m in the same boat that why I’m looking at this all different angles before I decide to make a move. I’m no rush. My westcott is fine till I decide on my next move. Good luck on your decision.

Hey folks. Have been away for a bit. I recently took my 4r to run some trails in CO with the wescott and 285s. I’ve beeen pretty concerned about ride comfort. I hit Imogean, Engineer , Cinnamon Pass, etc and was pretty happy with the ride. Airing down was huge. I’m running the stock Trd Pro wheels so that was somewhat of a concern… ended up airing down to 20 psi and the trails were pretty acceptable. Some of those roads are pretty rough and I did question whether or not I should have stayed stock or Eibach… it would have been nice to be able to compare those trails stock ahead of time to see what, if anything, I was losing in terms of comfort. Also had it weighed down with a few hundred pounds of gear and was not experiencing any reverse rake. I’m sticking with Wescott for now. If Eibach comes out with 1.7 front and 2 in back, I’ll be first in line though…

Daystar makes a 1.5" rear spacer and it's cheap($50). Or dobinson makes rear springs in different lift heights. (.5"-3") also has different load specs as well.

overall ride quality with the Westcott has been good for you? Definitely expecting a stiffer feel but just really like the stance the Westcott gives. It seems to be dialed in pretty well.

Stock UCA’s everyone I have been in touch with except one person. I have seen caster specs also and no issues getting it close on the caster numbers.

So, absolutely no nose dive, which I really hated. It does ride a bit stiffer, but still softer than any other vehicle I’ve driven. I think driving over 6-8 inch rocks for 10 miles probably would have been better with the stock suspension. But really wish I could have compared before and after. Daily driving is completely fine with Wescott. Tires are also a piece of the pie here. Stock were sl 265 running at 32 psi. I upgraded to 285 c load running at 38 psi on road. Dropping down to 35 or even 33 is very noticeable on road. I chose wescott six months ago because it was fairly cheap and I can always change if I didn’t like. If you are just mall crawling, then it’s a no brainer.
