I’m at a loss here idk what to do, my 4Runner up and died this last Friday “on my b-day” :’(. It cranks but will not start, I did all the checks and it seemed to be the fuel pump, so I replaced that. Started right after, then went to bed late that night woke up went to hop in and again crank, no start. I ended up getting a code saying it was my secondary air injection system driver, and my switching valve B circuit was open. Which is on the passenger side. So after a lot of research everything I read said it was best to replace that pump and it should fix the issue. So I did just that. And deleted the codes. Went to start up and still….. crank no start. I truly don’t know what else to do…. Nothing else is coding at all. I’m truly at a loss please help, and let me know if you’ve had any similar issues .

Agree with Slopemaster. I would also ask if your truck was included in the fuel pump recall.

Gotta ask - what circuit did you tap into for the grille lights?

I know you want to fix this yourself, but be careful just throwing parts at it as that will get expensive. A good diagnosis will go a long way. I know sometimes finding these issues can be difficult. To me, your description of issues is interesting and I understand the frustration since it was a no-start, then started after the fuel pump replacment, then no start again. If you can test your fuel pressure, that's probably a great place to start. Could be a regulator and not the pump itself. Fuses aren't intermittent - they blow and that's it. Still doesn't hurt to re-check anything modified on the truck that could possibly affect your condition - start with whatever has been done to the truck most recently.
To run, you've got fuel, air and spark to confirm (as long as it is cranking fine).

Never even saw the mention of grille lights. Agreed, disconnect those and everything else that's aftermarket and try again.

    I’m

I did that in the beginning. Then rechecked the fuel pressure after I got it started everything was great and now I’m back at square 1. The only mod I have was those raptor lights nothing else. I’m going to go through the fuses again check all wiring again. It’s so frustrating, I have a feeling I’m going to be paying quite a bit to take it in to a mechanic. I’ve done everything I was able to do confidently myself but at this point you’re right I can’t keep throwing money and parts at it.

Has it sat for a while prior to having the issues? Just a thought but maybe check for chewed wires. I have never had any issues with my vehicle and I use it daily. One time I let it sit for 2 weeks and found a mouse nest in the engine bay and chewed up wires.

I agree with @Emmantik rodent damage is a possibility here. It happens more often than people think.

Remove the big cover from the top of the engine (lift up the front, it just pops off and on). Look carefully at the wiring underneath and the entire engine compartment.
