Ice cap or underground. Which one?

This was under a cloudy day. Then the sun peeked out and caught the back end under sun showing the difference when under sunlight. Sorry don’t have night pictures yet.

 

That’s a good looking 4R, I got an SR5 in Underground, hoping to pick it up next week. God that looks sexy, now to just add a blackout package to mine and both my wallet and wife will be mad at me

 

That sucks, and in such a special color. That’s what’s rough about dailying something too unique, hard to replace.
I love my ice cap 2023 ORP, I love me a classic white Toyota. Hands down.

 

When I was shopping I looked at one in the Underground color. To me, it looks like a non-metallic Magnetic Gray. It was VERY sharp looking when clean and polished. But I'm not the most diligent person about washing my ride, and I knew it wouldn't look that nice most of the time for me.

Ice Cap is a nice safe color and will be easier to care for and will be cooler in the summer in a hot climate.

Between those two colors, Ice Cap would be my choice. If I could pick any color I wanted, it would be Lunar Rock.

 

Undergrount is a nice color but man there’s a lot of work I gotta do. There’s so much swirls from the dealership washing it. I think with this paint not having flakes and just being flat with clear coat plus being darker will show swirls fast.

My advice to anyone that gets this color is to get it paint corrected and ceracoated as soon as you get it. I guess I have a busy weekend next week.

 

Congrats on your new Underground 4Runner. As I said in my post above, it is a VERY good looking color and it's not one that I see all that often. It will be a little more work to keep it looking clean, but that's ok. Enjoy, and watch out for idiots behind you with this one.

 

Yeah got me paranoid every time I’m at a stoplight. Really thinking of getting some rear armor. Underground is growing on me. It’s very nice.

 

The first time my wife saw Underground she said “Now that a man's color.” So I told the salesman that we’ll take it .

 

Nice color but like I mentioned you already new going in. It’s needs PPF to prevent swirls and scratches. Congrats.
