4 Years - 100K Miles

The odometer just flipped over 100,000 miles on the 2020 TRD Pro 4Runner.

- Purchased new 20 January, 2020. Hit 100K on 12 March, 2024
- 100% dealer serviced.
- Stock tires went 50,000 miles, Second set still have another 10K to go

A few fuel stats:
- 418 Gas Stops
- Best MPG: 24.78 (Kansas tailwind)
- Worst MPG: 11.24 (Kansas headwind)
- Cheapest Gas: $1.87/gal December, 2020 (Abilene, KS)
- Most Expensive Gas: $5.24/gal October, 2023 (Bend, OR)
- Furthest Tank: 397 miles @19.6 mpg

What do you meant by furthest tank? Did you drive until the car died from lack of fuel?

 

Lol, my stock tires didn't last 30k miles. And thank God, those were awful

 

I bet it’s the farthest driven before filling up, not necessarily that it ran out of gas.

No - that was just the greatest reported miles between gas stops. I try to never go below 1/4 tank when I'm traveling.

 

No trip to the Black Hills of South Dakota??? Really need to make that trip and add more miles!

It's on the list - specifically Black Elk Peak. If you look closely at my track - or fill it in more than 5%, you can detect a specific path for all the eastern peaks. Hint: Ham Radio

You made it all the way out to California and took the 99? ah man, 101 or 395 would have been way better going up.

Thanks. I had intentions to drive down the coast back in January, 2022 (note the dip into the upper corner of the state), but got pulled back home to Colorado. My second trip through the state was when I was following a moving truck out here to Oregon and had to drive that route to avoid the road closures in Idaho, Utah and Wyoming. We did hit snow on Tehachapi pass and barely snuck over before it was closed.

 

You've definitely done some good travelling on it! The link with the map was fun! I'm doing the same thing with my 2022 4R, but I'm using Gaia GPS, and I only have it turned on when I actually go on road trips, so it's not all connected. I hope I'll be able to at least show them all on one map somehow, like you've done. But the real crime on your map is Flagstaff with no Grand Canyon! Thanks for sharing, as I said, your map is incredible.

 

Stock Dunlop last about 25-30k. They’re rated 300 BB so you’re right, they’re awful.

 

OP has a PRO, so probably Nittos (?).

You're correct, though. The Dunlops were useless. Mine were replaced with 1300 miles.

 

I replaced mine at 84. From the dealership in Denver to home in the Springs, and then across town to the tire shop. I had my KM3's waiting before I got the truck home lol.
