Disconnected the battery, didn’t work. Checked the amp fuse, all good there. What’s next?

Oh, Apple Car play isn't working. Well, wasn't working.

Do you still have your phone connected to it? If so, disconnect it. I had a similar problem on my 2021 Tacoma. I disconnected the battery, then pressed the horn for 30 seconds before reconnecting the battery. The problem stopped and it never happened again.

I have no idea what caused it, but that fixed it, for me.

I disconnected my phone and AM/FM radio volume isn’t working either. I’ll try the disconnect horn trick and see if it works!

Tried it and radio still won’t load. Just keeps going through the reset phases.

That indicates your head unit is dead or dying. I doubt it's under warranty. Start shopping around for a used OEM.

Bummer. I bought as a CPO and it’s still under the 12 month comprehensive so fingers crossed it’s covered under that. I’ll check with the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for your help. Much appreciated!

    I found this thread.

Post #68 is something you may want to try, but if that doesn't solve it, then yeah, you'll def have to toss it into the dealers lap.

Nice, I’ll give it a shot. Will pull those fuses now and give it until tonight. Thanks again!

4.5 hours with Rad 1, Rad 2, and Amp fuses removed; no fix. Off to the dealer!

It's not a known issue, and since it's electronic it can go out at anytime. Regardless of age. With mechanical components you can base failure rates from how old the vehicle is or the mileage. I've seen radio's last 40yrs or 40 days.

However, when the radio is stuck in a restarting cycle, that's a red flag that the head unit is dead.
