    Hello All!

I am in the Cleveland/Akron area and I am looking for someone with "experience" in installing the Gen 2 Morimoto XB Headlights.

I have a 2019 4Runner Limited Nightshade and according to a very informative video on Youtube (link attached), the bumper must be removed to gain access to headlights, bracket from OEM headlights must be removed and placed on Morimoto headlights and DRL harness for Morimoto headlights must be plugged into the 10amp INJ fuse (located right above the 7.5 amp EFI fuse.

    Thanks!

Welcome. Removing the bumper is really easy, just take your time. If you were in Utah, I’d be more than happy to help.

I live in the Youngstown area and just swapped my headlights myself. Was really easy, just went slow. YT videos on how to remove the bumper helped a lot.

Thank you! Did you have any issues closing the fuse box lid over the DRL harness wire? I read some comments that this was an issue for a few people during installation and they had to cut a small opening in fuse box lid for wire to pass through.

I install OEM led headlights. They sell fuse box lids on Etsy to accommodate fuse taps.

Removing the bumper is very easy. Swapping the headlight housings was, too.

    Hey,
I have a 2017 - installed the Gen 1's, had a couple LED's on the DRL go bad. Replaced the left side, then the right went bad, replaced. Have the Gen 2's now,
no problem. So I took the bumper off three times - I'm in my 60's, went slow, no problems. For the fuse box cover, I just took a screwdriver, heated it up, and melted
a small slot in the side of the box to put the wire through. Lid goes on - done.
