I have a 2023 T4R SR5, with the standard auto-dimming RVM (no Homelink or compass), and I want to replace it with a Gentex 453 with compass window and the Homelink buttons. Can someone who's taken theirs off tell me how many pins are on the connector? I'm on ebay with money burning a hole in my pocket.

I'd love to help but mine has the buttons on the overhead console. Why not upgrade your overhead console? ( I got no idea how much it would cost but someone on this forum has done it and posted about it.)

It would appear that upgrading the console would be more expensive. These mirrors can be had pretty cheap. Looks like it's a 533 line, and they can be had with both of the features I need plus have the internally-run wiring, unlike the 453 series.

Update on the mirror saga: Went on Ebay and got a new mirror with the Homelink buttons and the floating compass reading in the glass. Vendor was Bob's Automotive Mirrors & More, LLC, and it came with their enhanced instruction set along with the cable hider piece. Followed their excellent instructions and it went glass smooth -- mirror works great and looks professionally done. Link to the appropriate mirror for 5th-gen T4Rs is:

Thanks for everybody's input here too, I appreciate it.
