Good stuff if you like power and hate money.

Decided to make a mini vacation / road trip out of the install. Drove the 4Runner from Florida to Alabama to have Southern Off Road do the install. Pleasantly surprised that the MPG did not take a hit. I averaged 18.3 mpg on the 600 miles up to Alabama (2022 TRD Pro on stock 265/70/17 tires) And 18.5 on the trip back. (slightly slower average speed due to weather).
Cruise set just under 80 when things were dry and clear.

Good info on the mileage, thanks.

I'm considering adding a Magnuson after mine is out of warranty. If you don't mind my asking, about how much did you spend total?

Where do you notice the power gains the most? Or all over the powerband?

My stepdad has a 2023 Limited. He sold me his 2004 v8 4runner and misses the torque and i've suggested he supercharge his current 4runner to get that feeling back. $10k is steep though, not sure he'd be down to spend that much, but who knows.

The first step in the installation is a tune from Magnuson. You send them your map and they send you the new supercharger tune. This makes the 4Runner feel completly normal in the lower rev range. From there, the power is linear...the more foot you put in, the more boost you get in return.

This is one of the videos that sold me on the Magnuson:

It goes! It is fun to punch it and then seeing the response. To be fair, it is not a huge gain, but enough to be able to pass that truck in the video.

Many thanks. It took a while to get it all sorted. The end result was definitely worth it.
