I'm not sure I understand why anyone would even want a 4Runner if they don't need 4WD. They're slower than hell, horrible on gas, not great handing and their technology was even mediocre back in 2010 when this generation debuted. If it's just their appearance you like, personally I would try to get over that and find something less crazy priced than a 4Runner. Again...just my two cents. -TimG

Our 2020 isn't slow. Of course we have a Banks Pedal Monster on it.

Well, the official 0-60mph times I've come across for the 2024 model year seem to range from 7.7 to 8.1 seconds. I guess if one hasn't driven any other late model cars/suvs/crossovers recently, they might not realize that's not terribly fast by current standards.

And my understanding of these funky pedal commander isn't that they make your car faster 0-60; they only make the throttle feel more responsive than stock. Please feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.

A word to the wise - I'd drop the discussion of throttle controllers while you can. Otherwise this thread will go downhill fast.

You're absolutely right. Let's switch up topics and discuss what oil everyone uses--and why instead! ;)

It is slow! Lethargic is what comes to mind when talking about it's performance.

This thread derailed quickly. I was more interested in the year, mileage, pricing etc.

Have you done any online book value pricing comparisons? I'm not too sure how to check on a RWD vehicle, they're mostly all 4WD.

I have not but I'm gonna pass until prices and interest rates cool down. Cargurus said it's high priced though.

I bought my 2023 with 10,000 fewer miles for the same price two months ago. Given it’s a couple years older and has higher mileage, I’d say it’s a bit overpriced.

You bought a 2023 W/21k miles on it in April.? Wow that's a vehicle comparable to my mileage from 1993 - 2020 for commuting yearly! I trade pre 80k mileage too & still will.

I'm just saying that I used to put that kind of mileage on a year comm
uting to work & would trade around 80k.

Gotcha. May I ask why you traded at around 80k?

Not bad I guess. They had a NICE SUPER WHITE, at the dealership. Same price but 75k miles 2019. Matches my Artic White gel coat on the Wellcraft.
