Hello all, just introducing myself. I’ve been a member on Tacomaworld for a couple years. Just traded in my 22 Army Green TRD Off Road for a 24 Ice Cap 24 TRD Off Road Premium. Gonna miss the truck for sure, had a few adventures but our kids are outgrowing the back seat. I put some nice upgrades into the Tacoma and plan to build up the 4Runner the same. Nice to meet you all and look forward to interacting with you.

Here are a couple pictures of the old truck and the new 4Runner.

    Nice looking rig,
and just read your post on the what did you pay thread...
you got a great OTD price

My dealer was not dealing on ORP's or Pro's, was nice...but mentioned others were lining up to pay sticker

Thanks. I’ve been keeping an eye on the market for the last few months and there has definitely been a shift in the pricing, for the better. The dealer I went to said they have 6 more 4Runner’s inbound and that’s it, they are not getting anymore. Seems like they are just blowing out the old inventory to get ready for the 25’s.

The only Double A's I've ever heard of until now are batteries and this guy.

    good to know...
that's what my salesman said too
said there was no more ordering a car to spec, they had sold all their Pro allocation and had to get another dealer's allocation for me

I wanted a 2024, last of the breed...and I think the 2025's are going to disappoint a lot of people

Yeah, I’m sure the 25’s will be just fine, but I wasn’t going to pass up the reliability of the current engine, the 4.0 V6 will outlast just about everything else out there on the road. I honestly had no intention of ever selling the Tacoma but our family has just out grown it, no room in that back seat. Just happen to be perfect timing to purchase the 4Runner. I really liked what I did to the Tacoma and will probably go the same route with the 4Runner. Bilstein 6112/5160’s, upgraded UCA’s, Westcott Sliders, RCI skids, Method Wheels and BFG’s TA KO’s.

Have gotten a few things done to the 4Runner since I bought it in April. Bilstein 6112(2.6")/6160, SPC UCA’s, Bilstein 1.5” rear coil, Superbumps bump stops from Wheelers Off-Road. OEM TRD Pro wheels with Falken Wildpeak AT4W 255/80/17.

Still need to get skids and sliders but it’s much improved over it’s stock form.

Nice move with the pizza cutters. I’m eyeing a similar setup. Suspension wise, how’s the ride feel compared to stock?

The ride is much improved with the Bilstein set up. No more nose dive when braking and way less body roll while cornering. I was worried about the E rated tires as that’s the only option for 255/80/17’s. But… no issues noted, the Bilstein set up basically negates that. I had heavy duty coil overs on the front of the Tacoma along with an Icon ad a leaf, it was really stiff on road. The standard load front coil overs and rear springs feel a lot better on the 4Runner in terms of every day driving. I’m really looking forward to getting out on dirt, airing down and actually putting the Runner through its paces off-road.

That was actually about 3/4 of the way up Bill Williams Mountain outside of Williams.
