Bull Bars on a limited

Looking to add more protection without covering sensors. I know about the more Damage scenario. My question is every one i see says good for all models listed and never lists Limited.
also has to be stainless. so does anyone have experience with the stainless rusting

 

I looked at these a few years ago..many brands. The damage multiplier aside, the lack of functionality aside.. they all look like shit. Better awhole new steel bumper in aluminum or steel instead of the bull bar. Stainless can rust as well , depending upon the grade, although most I saw were chrome plated.. ugh

 

My neighbor had a chrome bull bar on his 3rd Gen Tacoma. Every time I saw it I thought "That looks like bucked teeth."

 

No. Don’t do it. They offer little to no protection. Plus if you hit something, that is going straight into your radiator.

 

How about just adding front hitch and small skid plate for extra protection? Also allows use of removable winch if needed.

 

To my eyes they are F* ugly.

 

I like that idea and didn’t know it existed like the unit you illustrated. You have any info on that? A front hitch at the dock or for maneuvering a boat on tight property is a good option.

 

I suspect you are looking for parking protection. I park in the city and think every time will this be the day I need a new bumper? Nobody has any respect for anyone’s property. I watch them play bumper cars all day long in Manhattan getting into or out of a spot.

Go on YouTube and search bull bar deer. The amount of damage to your truck from the bull bar should quickly change your mind about installing one

Some of those cheap bull bars do more harm than good in an accident. They also kill your (already not great) approach angle.

Might be worth investing in a full bumper if you reaally want a functional bull bar.

It was about price point
You are either able and willing to invest in a steel front bumper, or you are not, plain and simple.
I changed my mind.
Still haven’t afforded the bumper. My suspension is ready though

I wouldn’t mind some front bumper protection in parking lots, to be honest (before future steel bumper).
No one plans on crashing the front of their 4R bad, with or without a bull bar. It’s a slight risk one takes, like all the mods I’ve added.
