Stock '21 TRD Pro. Thinking of getting new wheels/tires. SCS wheels. Maybe new coilovers since I don't love the stock Fox setup. I do want a wider stance with more poke, hence the new wheels. But I figure... if I'm gonna get rubbing with 285s on the 8.5" -10 wheel and have to do all that work to get them to fit (UCA, BMC, cut fender/liner), might as well go with the 9" -38 from the get go?

    Oh, I don't off-road. 90% on-road, but lots of driving in snow.

I’m running westcott lift on my 23 Pro with SCS wheels Gen5’s 17x8.5. Removed front mudflaps, Only get rubbing at full lock on passenger side on body mount. Hope this helps. Stock UCA’s. No plan on removing them.

Good to hear, thanks. But what size tires? I actually get rubbing right now with a completely stock setup on full lock in reverse. Not sure if that's normal or not...

Every time I find a photo of a 4R with the wheels I like and I'm daaaamn that looks good, it's always the 9/-38 wheels haha

My vote is for 17x9 -38. But they require the most work(trim, bmc, etc..) they look the best though.

This photo Is 17x8.5 -12 with a 1.25 wheel spacer

I thought about the 17x9 SCS wheel I did not want to go to the extreme. I love the look of my Pro. The only reason my passenger side rubs is the caster number is not as good as the driver side. But my Pro tracks and handles really well. I’m running Mickeythompsons 285’s

Go to "willtheyfit.com" and play around with different tire and wheel specs. The visual and tabular comparisons will help a lot.

Yeah I've played with that. Wish I could see these wheels on a car.

Looks good! Are you running spacers?

Thank you. No spacers. I prefer a wider wheel than running a spacer. Have had numerous sets of SCS wheels. Love them.

So there is less work involved (less rubbing) with the 8.5/-12 + 1.25" spacer than with just 9/-38?

No, spacers require the same work as high negitive offset wheels

But Less offset and narrower wheels require less work.
