Sardines, tastes like crab. Meat is a shade of orange.

Hmmm - Tiger trout is a new one for me. A sterile hybrid between brown and brook trout. I learn something new every day.

I just busted a nice Largemouth! A few huge Golden Shiners, Dark Black crappie, Big Male Bluegills
I use a trout magnet with 3 inch bublegum power worm on the fly-rod
I gave one to a guy at the trout pond he slammed them

Last 3 weeks, Lucky Peak Reservoir in Idaho 3 trips. Total fish caught 4 Kokanee (land lock salmon, one 16"), 6 Rainbow and 7 Hybrid Trout. All from a friends Tracker boat with 2 down riggers and 2 surface trolling set ups. All caught surface trolling except that 16" Kokanee on a down rigger at about 50'. Set ups were orange or pink Dodgers, Hoochies and a Thomas Buoyant Gold Trout lure. Morning temps about 36 degrees rising to 70 degrees in afternoon. The wife and dog join us that last two trips. Wish we had pictures, but too busy catching!

IMG_0111.jpgLook at this pattern. I just caught my first Tiger last year. I guess everyone was turkey hunting. I had a witness guy saw the hole thing. Then another guy walks up. So that makes two. I yelled that I had a salmon on!

Im getting it weighed sat on DWR's certified scale. Even though the Post-Office weighed it. Ive contacted a local taxidermist who has won awards. And Ive been saving a piece of wood for over twenty years to mount on. IMG_0119.jpg

Here's the mounting wood I've IMG_0140.jpg been saving. Must be cedar or something. Its going to be a replica not freeze-dried. But this guys work is incredible. Kind of looks "in the current"?

I know a good recipe for Carp:
Wrap the Carp in cardboard and stuff with rice,
Bake at 350 dregrees for 3 hours,
Throw the Carp away and eat the cardboard.

A black guy told me that at the trout stream.
