^Cosmetic damage isn't covered by warranty unless you document it at time of delivery. Hypothetically you can get shopping cart dings an hour after driving it off the dealer's lot.

They have been trying to contact you but you’re unavailable when they do. This could be resolved by answering the phone when they call. I know that it can be difficult with work, but let your boss know and try to take that call. Toyota is helpful with the process that you’re taking.

Most likely if it was minor [or even major] cosmetic damage that was not documented when you picked it up, you are SOL.
I remember years ago a customer claiming her back window was defective and broke a day after picking up new vehicle. Looking at damage, under the broken glass was a baseball just laying there....needless to say claim was denied. I guess if I was you I would except the 50% offer and contact my insurance company and see if they will pay the other 50%. If you push this due to your error of missing the damage when you picked it up, you will be alienating the dealer from EVER helping you with any future problems. Dealers mostly do have some discretion in how much they can help you with POLICY MONEY. Remember you catch more bears with honey than vinegar.

Why do people waste time on the phone? Go talk to someone in person. Sit down in their cubicle and tell them you aren't leaving until something is done.

The squeeky wheel gets the grease. But grease won't flow through a telephone line...

OP is trying to be discreet, but people get triggered because he didn't do it the "right" way lol.

The quickest way to escalate is to speak in a northeastern accent ask; "can I speak to a manager please?" Then just repeat the word "manager" after anything they say.

Who could have expected this with all of the OPs prior threads from before he even owned a 4runner.

Well.....are you going to drive to a district office if it is out of state? Here in Minnesota district offices can either be in Kansas City or Chicago.
Phones can work. However as stated earlier I think it may be a lost cause if it was cosmetic damage and it was not declared [seen] at time of purchase. I feel 50% offer by dealer is fair. After all, dealer is not at fault for buyer missing claimed damage. Dealer is stepping up and willing to split the cost after the fact.
