    Hey all. New member here.

I was doing a head unit install on my new 2005 V8 Sport and while I had all the trim off I noticed a couple connectors by the DAC button not attached to anything.

Curious if they’re an optional feature I can add or if they just ran wiring the same for all the models.

Thank you! The links are not working for me.

I’ll try and get a shot of the end and clearer pic of the wire colors. Assuming that might help me as well.

Np. Then you can just google the part numbers.

If the six pin is in the area of the Downhill Assist Control (DAC) on center console, I'd google image pics of the 4Runner Limited buttons on the console. The limited had a few more bells and whistles than lower models.
    1. Left seat heater
    2. Downhill Assist Control (DAC) switch
    3. Toyota Electronic modulated suspension mode select switch
    4. Rear height control air suspension switch
    5. Right seat heater

Good call on the image. Doubtful I can use any of those options. I ont have two extra dummy plugs and I just have XREAS so it’s not adjustable. Also have cloth seats without heat.

Off topic but regarding DAC, does it only engage while in 4lo? I know what it does, only asking because sometimes my kid accidentally presses buttons and the next time I start driving sometimes I don’t notice the DAC button was pressed. Just don’t want to inadvertently mess something up by driving with that on.

Correct, only engages in 4LO. Our dog steps on it. The light will flash on the cluster until you turn it off but to my knowledge it does no harm.

Thanks All. I’ll just assume I have a number of connectors for other trim levels that I won’t/can’t use if I start removing any other panels.

There’s a couple wire clusters under the drivers dash I need to look into though. o_O I have run the OBD ll scan and nothing is popping as bad so I’m hoping that’s a good sign.
