Hello! I have a 2004 4runner that started making a noise when I apply the brakes, it drives great and there no issue there but can't figure out what this noise is. Here is my video link https://youtube.com/shorts/12XOUmqNJNE
Please if anyone can give some advice or any comments will be appreciated.

    Thanks to all.

Can't tell exactly where the noise is coming from just watching/hearing the video.

Can you tell us more or less where you think the noise is coming from, and also does it make the noise each and every time you brake, or every second or third time, or...?

Just need more info than we can get from the video to even make an educated guess.

Hello! I think the noise is coming from the Master Brake Cylinder Assembly, but it doesn't leak any brake fluid and it does a complete stop when I drive the vehicle. At the beginning, the noise did not come up all the time but lately the noise is more constant. Thanks

You still didn't answer my questions completely/clearly, does it happen every time you apply the brake, every second time, or even every third time?

Also have you ever hear the sound any other time, like when you turn the ignition to "On" but not start the engine?

Also try while in Park depressing the brake pedal several times and see if that will trigger the noise, try this more than once since this could be an intermittent issue.

Sorry. Yes the SUV makes the noise on the 1st time applying the brakes.
Also, I just turn the key to the "ON" position (not stating the engine) and when I applied the brakes the noise came up...

It sounds like the ABS/master cylinder electric booster motor that runs the booster pump is going bad and needs to be replaced, if that the case you can purchase a rebuilt one on E bay, new ones are quite expensive.

This motor normally comes on when you turn on the ignition and then every 3rd depression of the brake pedal and run for about 10 to 15 seconds each time and normally should only make a slight buzzing sound as the motor runs.

You can confirm this by using a mechanic's stethoscope ($10+/- at any auto parts store) to search for the sound while someone else apply the brakes to trigger the noise.

Here's a photo of the complete ABS/master cylinder assembly so you will know where the motor is, the electric motor is under the maser cylinder and below the gold/brassy colored part with the black metal band around the top, yours could look slightly different as in the color or black band missing, etc. but for the most part it will be the same as in the photo, the second photo shows the black motor at the bottom.

I have the same issue with the same noise. Currently waiting on an o-ring from toyota to replace on the accumulator. Did you ever get yours figured out?

This was my noise. Replaced booster and pump assembly from Lexus GS300.
