IMG_0685.png Anyone know of a pop up version of a flat top canopy like this? Having a hard time finding one.

I’m looking for an alternative to attaching an “overland” one to my roof. Flat top is important to shed water away from the vehicle.

Do you want to avoid attaching to the 4R altogether, or just on the trip to your setup? A tarp with grommets will set you back $10-15. 2 6ft dowels with a screw in the end, and 2 tent stakes will hold it up and lower than the roof. If you've got a full rack already, a couple caribiners will hold the other side and you're chilling for like $25

Have been looking into these types as well…how’s the material? Waterproof at all?

Thanks, DIY is an option, was hoping to find a simple, sturdyish pop up shelter that slants to one side, like the image posted vs a high point in the center.

My DIY is very small stored in garage and uses an aluminixed 6x9' tarp. Poles are adjustable aluminum twist lock. Can be adjusted level, lower or higher than roof line. So far just used for hot sun, not rain. Second tarp is carried to go opposite direction to wrap roof and windows on side opposite, tarp can set up either side of vehicle. Shaping the 2 custom wood blocks to clamp the short PVC pipe took time. I found a SOLID bamboo type pole to extend out of the PVC clamped to stock roof rack. I highway drive with whole setup inside so there is no wind noise.
