Checking for Possible Interest in JL Audio TW3 Stealthbox. 3 months old, under warranty.

As the title says, I’m thinking on selling my JL Audio Stealthbox for 5th Gen 4Runner. Bought in January, well under for warranty for I believe 2 years. Absolutely nothing wrong with it at all. I might be trading my 4Runner. I’d provide my receipt from the authorized dealer(Creative Audio). I paid $1375. I’d sell for around $870 shipped. Priced to sell. Just seeing if there is any interest on here. I see listings on EBay for homemade 4Runner Stealthboxes with no sub for around the same price so I feel $870 shipped is beyond fair. As I mentioned, I’m just seeing if there’s possible interest on here before posting on EBay, or local listings.

Damn...if I saw this a week ago, I might have pulled the trigger. I just bought a kicker sub and box off of Crutchfield that seems to be fitting where it needs to be, but this is the long-range goal. It's about double what I paid and I'm already over budget on my stereo build. and I just put my rear cargo area back together. UGH! Good luck!

Thank you my friend, Kicker is a great value for the money. I went way over budget on my build, so I feel your pain. Lol! And yes, disassembly and reassembly of the cargo area sucks. It’s pretty straightforward, just time consuming. I’ve done it a few times now. First added a JL 8 inch sub to the factory enclosure, and then the Stealthbox.

 

It’s insanely impressive. I had high expectations being JL, but it surpassed how capable that TW3 sub is. I originally wasn’t impressed when I first installed it. But later realized I didn’t have my gains set correctly on my amp. I was only sending like 200 watts instead of 400. Lol!
Dealer won’t give me any more trade in value if I leave the Stealthbox in, so I’m not letting them have it for nothing.

 

It really is. You can get the same driver in a basic enclosure for half but then you're stuck with a box in the back. IMO, it was well worth it to have it tucked in out of the way.

 

Exactly! It’s great having it hidden not just for cargo space, but from any would-be car prowlers
