Today was fun. Drove back on my property and spent about 2,600 rounds of some of my old ammo. 9mm, .357 .308 and 00 buckshot :infantry:

I did a hack job and I'm frankly not proud by it, though it seems to be working. Wrapped the edge in a couple of layers of electrical tape so it's basically a very tight press fit. It isn't moving on it's own and if it ever did the tabs would probably catch it if it went past the holes in the hitch.

    HA!!! This cracked me up!!

    Your rig looks amazing!!

I figured my 2023 4Runner could be 40th Anniversary Adjacent. Love the Bronze. Got the wheels too. But, not doing the decal or the numbered glovebox emblem.

I do love me the wheels.

Your rig looks good, but yeah, if you really want to look like an imposter 40th, you have to add the glovebox badge, the 40th embossed head rests and the bronze stitching on the seats.

Built my poverty edition sleeping leveling platform and sliding table. About $50 in wood. Used two pieces of 19/32 plywood for the top, two 2x4s for the base, two 3/4 square dowels for sliding supports, and one piece of 15/32 plywood for the table. Cut up an old bedmat for the rubber top.

Gobi stealth roof rack with ladder. This is my last mod for a long while, I’ve spent $8,000 on this beast in the last 6 months. And screw the asshole who hates my Carhartt seat covers. Spent all day on this install but it was intermingled with beer, sunshine, and music. Freaking love it. No regrets. My mod build is complete, I only need a front end level but I’ll do that after I pay off this religious experience.

Worth noting: Plenty of room to fit under my garage, I was literally worried. Also if you get a Gobi, do get the backpack for $50, it’s literally one of the nicest backpacks I’ve ever see, the highest quality ever, I’m excited to use it. Great company, Gobi

Not all today but in the past week since buying it my son and I have installed raptor lights, TRD wheels with 265/70/17 Pathfinder All Terrain tires and 1.25” spacers, black overlay emblems and we painted the roof rack black. Future plans include the 1” Cornfed leveling spacers and black lug nuts. Getting it all ready for when my son leaves for college in the fall.

Installed my new RSG sliders today. Some judicious use of a floor jack and they went right in. The KDSS lines ARE stiff, but a little prying with a small pry bar and I slipped in a couple of wedges to leave room for the mounting plate to slide between the lines and the frame. Two hours from beginning to end. Easy job.

Between him and his younger brother the monthly food budget is ridiculous lol

Yes he’ll be taking the 4Runner to college which will be about 3.5 hours away from us in Stillwater, OK. Go Pokes!
