33s what lift needed?

Hello Runners

Can a 2.5 inch leveling kit clear 33x12.50x20 wheels on a 24 4 runner TRD premium? Please advise

20in tires? Ewww..!!
And then all seems to be Load E or F which would ride pretty bad.

Most common setup is 285/70R17 with 2.5in front + 2in rear lift and minor plastic trimming with front bumper. 285/70R17 would allow you to select from Standard Load, Load C, Load D to Load E.

It should fit, but even the stock tires rub (but only in reverse at full lock).

 

Welcome to the forum. Any reason why you’re going to 20” wheels and not 17”?

 

Liked the look on Jeep JK we had.....was wanting to see if anyone has the same look on 4 runner

Maybe 33s on 18 inch wheels also...just want to know if I need to lift all around or just Level the front.

 

I don't think 20" wheels look bad at all. Especially when using larger tires. But going with 33x12.50s youll definitely have some rubbing. Go with 275 60 20, or 285 55 20.

Also, the 2.5 lift is good, but not actually what allows you to clear the wheel.
You'll have mad rubbing with that tire size, severity depending on offset, but it's nothing you can't accommodate.

I'm thinking of -12 offset wheels
20 inch 9-10 inch width on rim
Reason for 12.50 tire to protect from curb rash

 

Sure that width may protect your rims
But that width and offset = rub city
10 inch wheels especially

I run 9" wide, 17" rims with LT285, 70's, -32 offset (spacers), 3" lift, UCA's. Tons of rub

 

Thanks for info....looking like I'll do something similar....just like the tires even with body and a bit bulkier for the aggressive look.

 

Just to reiterate, the lift won’t help you clear larger tires at anything except sitting still on flat ground. As the spring extends and compresses, the wheel & tire will travel through the same exact arc as with stock springs. The lift simply makes the static starting point within that arc different. It doesn’t change the arc or where it’ll rub.
