Eibach PRO TRUCK Sport leveling shock initial review...

    Bumping an old thread instead of making a new one...

    Looking for an opinion on a suspension upgrade for my 20 SR5P (with third row seating). Im a mall crawler on my worst day and really only drive highway to work and local roads for errands.

    Looking at the Eibach Pro Truck Sport kit which my local guy quoted me $350 for parts for all four corners. Ill be reusing stock front coils and probably going to lift it to the 0.8" mark unless that doesnt level it out mostly.

    However, now Im debating picking up the rear springs, the wheelers that give 1" of lift and raising the front to the 1.6" notch. I want a little bit of factory rake, but trying to get as level as possible otherwise.

    Thoughts opinions?

    I was quoted $500-600 for the install/alignment.

    Ill be sticking with stock sized tires.

    As one who runs those shocks with the stock springs, I can say either way would be fine. It just depends on how much you want to lift it. Also, the price quoted for the installation isn't bad. I would have done the same thing (had a shop install), but mine arrived during COVID in 2020, and shops were backed up for weeks. After hours of YouTube University, I installed them myself.

    I'm sure I could do it if I had unlimited time, but with two little kids I get very little time for anything to go wrong. I might just stick with no added rear spring as I don't really need more lift. I might want it, don't need it.

    I'm quite happy with the .85, I think it is, in the front and new shocks all around. Alignment is good, it looks level with a bit of rake, and no upper control arms needed. Works for me.

    Something you could try is lifting it to 1.6" in front and leave it for a while. I did this at first. It was dead level.

    After I added my roof rack I started sagging a bit in the back, so I decided to add a 1/2" spacer to the rear coils. The problem with adding a new coil is that the minimum lift height on them is 1". That was too tall for my taste.

    I have 2 little kids as well but adding the spacer is something you can do yourself without too much grief. It's pretty easy. Now my stance is exactly like a Pro but 1/2" taller all around.

    I have a 1" and a 3/4" rear spring. I might see how the front goes on at 1.6" and decide what I want to do from there. The spacer is obvious cheaper than $200 springs. If it's level and looks good... I'll ditch the springs for a spacer possibly.

    Here are my current measurements from level ground to top of fender ..

    DF 34.25

    It's the 4th gen spring, it was suggested by another poster. Same spring rate, just a little less lift.

    Oh nice! Didn't know that was an option.

    If you really want a one and done install, I don't think you'd be disappointed with 1.6" up front and 3/4" in the rear. It'll look great.

    If you're questioning that much lift in the rear, try the 1.6 up front and leave the rear stock.

    Yeah I'm not sure I'd want more for a DD. Plus, I'd get too tempted to try and go up in tire size too.

    The nice thing about that lift height is you can go either way and both tire sizes will look good. If you're tempted to go bigger, then go bigger the next time you need to purchase tires.
