Lightbar wiring through the roof

So I yesterday I mounted my lightbar but I'm a bit confused on how I should go about wiring it from the roof into my car, and then to the battery. I understand that the answer to this is probably on some other forum but I'm too lazy to search through unrelated posts for 30 ,minutes.

So pretty much, I understand that I'll need to drill through the hood into my vehicle but how would I stop out sound elements from entering aswell while making the mod look clean? Here are some pics.

Why dont you just run it down the windshield channel by the weather striping, thats how I did it

 

Is yours hidden in the channel or is it just taped to it. #teamnohack

 

And lead it into under the hood? Mine isn't long enough

 

You're looking for a wire gland. I saw one just the other day for a room application. I think it was on Amazon but I can't be certain.

 

hidden, I siliconed it inside the channel with black silicone, would never see it.

so extend the wires

Your light looks awesome!! Have you got it all wired up yet?? I'm fix'n to do the same thing...I have lights on a rack that need wiring. Just wanted to see how yours turned out? I was thinking about de-pinning the connector...drilling a small hole in the roof...feed the wire into the small hole and use a good silicone fill the hole and to waterproof it...and last repin the connector and then wire it up.

Do you have any pictures how you did yours?? Also, where did you get your mounting brackets and light?? What size is your light??

I have been running mine through the door jam and behind my Gauge cluster on my A Post, It leaks water so I'm going to drill through the roof and silicone it when its a nice day. I don't like the water all over my Door switch panel

 

That's what I just did also. Our chief mechanic at the police department does this to every cruiser when he adds all the lights to the cars...and never has any issues with water leaks . As long as you know the lights are going to be permanent...I say go for it.

I'm going to do some more work on my 4Runner this weekend...I'll try and take some pictures.
