    All , finally I have been able to own a T4R. I got a 2012 with 157k miles on it. I have read and known that this is not a big deal when it comes to miles on it. Any tips, to keep this vehicle run good as I put miles on it is appreciated. Me and my son, will be foraying into off roading.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

    The best way to make this truck last is service it regularly, don't go crazy when off roading (most 4Runners are lost due to accidents offroading AND onroading), and don't let your teenager drive it!

    Welcome. Use quality fluids. Oil every 3-5k miles, tranny and TC fluid every 30k miles, diff fluid every 20k miles, and you are good. And save the frame from rust. And flush the coolant every 50k miles. And buy good quality gas, stay away from shady gas stations.
