Hey so i lifted my 2017 4runner off road 3 inches added Anzana fuel rims with 30 inch tires and my steering wheel started shaking at 60 to 65 no big woop. Told my self alignment and balance will fix it so I took it in now it shakes at 40 to 60 mph. My wife took it back as i was at work and they said it was the tires and to help a bar needs to be replaced. Not sure what bar but has any one had this problem?

I would take it to another shop, and not mention you had it looked at. See what they tell you.

Yeah, that seems a little over the top replacing a brand new rigs "axle". You are in the right mind set @Art1988 and spot on @SlvrSlug . A proper wheel balance and alignment will do the trick. If they are having a hard time with balancing the wheels, it could be a manufacturer defect and fuel might have to get you a replacement wheel or two (sometimes happens).

In another forum I did read steering wheel shaking or vibration it's 99% tires or wheels issues.
So in my case I bought a second hand 4runner. Came with big (too big) tires. Shaking over 80km/h.
So went to the Toyota service center. They found the spacers for the tires bended. So I proceed to replace tires, spacers and suspension.
Test was good, took it home. After few days, after a hard breaking on a slope, the steering wheel started shaking again.
They found the break rotors little bit damaged. They rectified them and was ok. After few days driving in the city, again started the vibration over 90km/h.
Took it back to the service center, they replaced two spacers for the tires.
Tested ok and took it home. After two weeks, vibration started again over 90km/h.
Took it to a different place for tires balance verification. They found one wheel a little bit bended.
So took it again to the Toyota center. They tested with different wheels and tires from a Toyota Highlux.
No vibration at all, immediately the vibration on the steering wheel disappeared.
So I am buying new wheels, TRD type from Toyota.
But many issues were found so far, all of them related to tires and wheels and breaks.
    Cheers.
