Do you want the one's where the rack and top box were ripped off, or not?

Cmon! Where are all the folks with the 60k 4Runners at 8% interest?! ;)

Kidding aside, I dig that color. It’s real nice.

Any 4Runner in underground. Not necessarily need to be PROS only. I saw several SR5s and ORPs in underground.

Got mine at $58k and 6%...:amen:and, since I had a trade in, only financed $27k...not bad for the current market. When I saw the color in person, it was just :spending:..lol

I almost went for underground, but ended up getting MGM because of the metallic in the paint. I'm rough with my truck, so metallic will hide dents/scratches better. The underground is glossy and will show imperfections more. The underground is beautiful in person. I would have gotten it, but would have to get PPF right away.

Nice man! That’s not a horrible rate in this climate. I guess that’s the nice thing with Toyotas holding their value too. When we decide we want a new one, trade her in with a little extra coin, and there we go, all set. Enjoy it!

Beautiful rig! You did well on that deal. Well I guess I did roll a bunch of extra accessories into the financing though. Did you check more than one dealership and compare deals? Just curious. I checked several and was a little surprised they were so far apart on thier offers.

image2.jpg Just picked her up, gave my white one to my son after he totaled his Tacoma. Guy ran a red light and tee boned him on his passenger door. Rolled the truck 3 times, all air bags deployed and every window broken, roof smashed down to the headrests. Asked him if he wanted me to find him another Tacoma, he said nah, I’ll take your 4Runner. I thought for a few seconds and said “done”. The 4Runner is a bit stouter than the Tacoma. I can always get another 4Runner, can’t get another son.

What? Like just awhile ago this happened or did I misread something earlier. The absolute only thing that matters is him and those involved. Plenty of Toyota's out there, only 1 son. My daughter totaled her jeep when she was 16. Terrifying as a parent. She is the only child I have and I have nightmares about her safety. PM me if you want. Keep me posted. Sending positive vibes your way....

Are you telling me that "underground" is a Toyota color?! Haha! Obviously English wasn't the first language to whomever named that one! Seriously, WTF color is "underground"?

Yep... that is what the sticker says: "Underground". What's wrong with that, from and "English standpoint"?

Oh yeah...dealers were all over the place. I called nationwide, but gave preference to the ones in Texas - where I live. Most wanted mark-ups for PROS (some only marking up underground - not terra, others marking up both). Crossed them off my list immediately. Some added those "packages" including shitty ppfs and overpriced tints, sending price to mid $60s. Off my list too. Picked mine in San Antonio. Had to drive from Houston. Found that the dealers in big centers - Houston, Dallas, etc were mostly the ones charging mark ups. You have better chances of paying MSRP at dealers in mid to small towns. At least in my experience.

As opposed to quicksand, cement, solar octane, lime rush ... ? They use whatever words they want for colors.

I discovered the exact same scenario here when comparing to the urban dealerships. I live rurally and bought my last Runner from the closest dealership which is still not big city. The Seattle area dealers received theirs first so I went there. The dealer package they had was everything I hated and would have had to tear it off. It was all geared toward city driving. They also lowballed my trade in, which was a 2018 off road. I got $7000 more locally, I just had to wait a little while. They were only allocated 1 Pro in Terra.....needless to say, I'm not incognito. I miss TX! When I was really little we lived in Houston and Brownsville (70's oil). As an adult lived in El Paso (Army husband). He had training a lot in San Antonio so I'd tag along. Loved it. I want to go check out more of the historical places now.

Yes, you’re correct, the 2014 Tacoma TRD Sport was totaled in late November 2023. We shared the 4Runner since then. I’m retired, he’s a senior at UCSD-math major. I just picked up the new Underground T4R, told him, pick either one I could care less. He chose the white one, said it’s more visible, I said sure. The night the CHP called I was watching TV (7:20 PM), I jumped up, told my wife what happened, we hauled ass to the scene, fire trucks, cops, crowd of people gathered around. Had to park across the street from the accident. Got out, ran across the street with my wife, he was sitting on the curb with a blanket around him talking to the Highway Patrolman, he saw me running towards him, he stood up and the blanket fell to the ground, I grabbed him and gave him a big bear hug and in my ear he said “Dad, I’m OK”. Those words I’ll never forget. My oldest son (I have 3 sons) ran up at that point, my wife called him on the way to the accident, he hugged him then told me “Dad, your 4Runner is sitting over there idling, go over there and shut it off and lock the doors”. I was in such a hurry to see my son, I just got out and took off running. Driving to the accident that night I prayed to God to take me, don’t take him, I’ll die in his place, I’m old he has his whole life in front of him. That night, no one was hurt in any way, either vehicle. Did my prayer help, couldn’t tell you, but he felt the love a father has for his son and I’m sure he could relate.

I joined the club yesterday! Thankfully in a place to not have a big loan but boy do rates suck around here. This color is crazy. Takes on whole new looks depending on the light, I'm a big fan.

Yes...the dark blue hues and undertones are what I like the most. Especially when the sun hits it.
