Hello everyone. I’m new here and new to 4Runners. I have a 1999 sr5 with 202,000 miles on it. Today the roads were really slick so I went into 4wd while at a stop on an on ramp. Went ahead and merged onto the freeway and went back into 2wd around 40mph. Started accelerating to get up to the speed of traffic but at 50 mph, no matter how much I pressed on the gas, it wouldn’t accelerate. I also had the ETC button enabled if that makes a difference. Wondering if this has happened to anyone else. Any thoughts or suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I just changed the air filter last week so I know that should be fine. Unless you’re talking about something else. Sorry, I’m fairly new to working on cars. All I’ve ever done was basic maintenance.

Check vacuum lines and intake for cracks.

I also drove it all day today no problems on the freeway going 60+. Stopped at home for about 20 minutes then had to drive into work and then this happened
