    I can’t figure out what kind of charging cord works for the backseat. I ordered one I thought would work but it doesn’t. Is it usb a or usb c or something all together different? Thanks!

    I thought it was USB-A for everything. I guess the question is how it doesn't work - did it not fit, not powered, etc.?

    It was either in 2022 or 2023 that they went to USB C for the rear ports and USB A for the front only.

    I’m clinging to my 13 Mini for now but my SO got a 15 with USB-C and it makes charging so much easier between that and my other gadgets. Except her headphones are Lightning and microUSB so we can’t ditch those yet.

    Good to hear, probably for the best. And I guess for the headphones there's gotta be those little converter cable dongles.
    I remember when lightning first rolled out and it was a piss off, but that proved to be the right move.
    I used to be diehard iPhone, but switched to Android years ago cuz the Apple proprietary level, and Cloud / Apple ID "gazillion-factor authentication" put me over the edge.

    Oooh look, another mod.....
    I just looked in my 2023 4Runner, and I have two (2) USB-C power ports in the back seat.

    The plug on the left is USB-A, the one on the right is USB-C. You can buy a USB-C to USB-A cord or an adapter, if that's what you need for your iPhone. I know some iPhones are USB-C to "Lightning" ports (that really weird and thin plug).
