Good news Bad news: I finally received my Cali-Raised interior molle panels today but I’m still waiting on the top shelf. However FedEx just created a label so I’m expecting it in a few days. It took over 6 weeks for these to arrive.

A couple of weeks ago, my "Check Engine" light came on and the "Trac OFF" light did also. Took it to the dealer and they determined that the drain plug had been improperly tightened at the last oil change. Came on again last Friday, so we took it back in. One of the timing chain sprockets needs replacing :mad::mad::mad: Gotta wait until the part gets shipped in. Asked how much and the Service Manager said "Nothing-it's under warranty!" (A 2019 SR5 Premium!) :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

installed catalytic converter shields tonight. Took me 3 fucking hours. It was my first true mod, and I did it on my back, in the garage. It was a good experience, should make the slider install seem easier.

You were "lucky". Another few months and this would've probably been at least a $2k repair.

Did they explain how an improperly tightened drain plug would cause an error light?

Yeah, mine took a couple of hours as well. And lot of "sentence enhancers." Why it take us so long is because we don't have readable access to a lift like they do in their install vids. But you have to make do with what you got.

Added my wheel spacers that I pulled off from my Tacoma before I traded it.

Not sure if the pics show it but it’s a subtle, better looking change.

Did a slow reverse full lock and didn’t hear or feel a rub. Will see though.

Got driver side installed, was relatively easy, did it myself with a cheap ($35) set of car jacks to assist me. Was kinda disappointed at how RSG changed the top plate, seems too Swiss Cheese now, but I’m not complaining the bolt holes lined up absolutely perfectly and the install was a million times easier than the catalytic converter shields I did last night. On to the passenger side. Then interior molle panels later if I have the energy. It’s a great Mod weekend!

RSG slider install complete. Started at 8:30 a.m. completed at 1:20 p.m. with plenty of breaks and general slouching. I think the main takeaway is this: I researched the shit out of sliders and RSG fit the bill for my needs. My install process was such: Wiped down the frame clean. Removed plastic hole covers. WD40 to the bolt holes, ran a bolt through, followed up with Brakleen. Sprayed frame with Surface Shield. Used two cheap car jacks from Wal Mart ($35) which helped immensely. Bolts on with Permatex anti-seize. The passenger side brake line was a bitch to get the bolt in the hole but other than that, this was freaking awesome. RSG make a fantastic product, all of the bolt holes lined up perfectly. PS: These were angled top plate with kickout, if it isn’t obvious.

I used the G2 axle and gear spacer. I’d recommend them or spridertrax if you are interested. Both a great spacers. These are 1.25” spacers. Completely stock otherwise.

Fixed the stupid gap. Next Sat will fix the exhaust rattle due to TC skid plate.

So sorry to ruin the good vibes but sliders do not stop door dings. This photo is of my newly-added RSG sliders next to my Mazda 3 in the garage and the Mazda door can easily smack into the 4R door. Please stop saying that sliders prevent door dings. Thankfully that’s not the reason I bought them.

Running 10 psi is a bold move. Lowest I have gone is 17 on 275's. I'd be concerned about popping a bead.

This has all been done over the past two weeks. Sequential taillights (not very impressed with the turn signal or reverse light, but they look good otherwise) and plasti dipping the chrome trim. My wife was very excited to get me my very own "widdle wadder". I love the way this thing is starting to look. I think the front end needs something else though.
