AMBER Fog Lights... NOT Yellow

ISO AMBER Fog Light Recommendations

There are a ton with amber back-lighting or accent-lighting but no AMBER Fog Lights.

I did see the Heretics on 4Runner Lifestyle but those can't be the only ones on the market right?

I went down the same road as you. I can't stand yellow but love amber. The only very good ones that are top notch that I found are the Heritic fog lights. They are incredibly bright, machined out of billet and everything about them is top notch. I also have one of their light bars mounted on my Victory Blitz bumper. I just haven't hooked that up yet because I'm waiting to install my Warn winch. I highly recommend the heretics.

I was following a friend around dusk and he had to call me on the phone. He said my fogs were blinding him. I need to get back in there and aim them like you would headlights. Right now I can only use them when there is no traffic in either direction.

I'm somewhat OCD and not having matching fog lights to my fang lights, light bars, and DRL's would drive me nuts.

 

The nice thing too is it's not just a vaneer for looks. They are very high quality.

 

Not fogs, but my Extreme LED "amber" lights are very yellow. I now know the pain of having mismatched lighting xD

Stick with one brand if you want to avoid this issue. My amber DRL's mismatch my light bar's "amber" so much it's hilarious

Most companies try to match the Yellow for its advantages. But there is some that still do Amber like Heritic fog lights.

Lucky my OCD isn't look based.

Yeah, I could be wrong but that sounded a bit like a dig. When it comes to lighting function always trumps form. Fortunately, the Heretics are top shelf in their performance as are Baja Designs, Diode Dynamics and a couple others.

So.......to be clear, my OCD is function based first followed by aesthetics, counter to what Ripper implied

To be clear, don’t hate them enough to fork over the money to correct the issue. For the money I’d recommend extreme LED all day. I’ve had great luck with mine. But that super bright yellow reminds me of my tuner days

My eyes are horrible and extremely sensitive. But I can see soo much better with yellow over white, blue, amber. I absolutely love my yellow fog lights

 

Better contrast/visibility and brightness, everything being equal. I find yellow penetrates fog a little better myself, but could be my old eyes. lol

 

Maybe my eyes aren't what they used to be, but in that night picture, those sure look yellow to me, not amber (like turn signals)...

 

They are more amber in person, my pics don't show it very well.

I did a split with my Baja's, top yellow bottom white. Actually works pretty good lighting up the ground in full color, yet cutting through bad weather.
