Heavy rains yesterday here in NJ/PA. Now my MT + ABS lights are all flashing. Drives fine. Replaced the gas cap and no luck. Car drives fine but with no ABS.

Here's what other forum members reported as problems.

    1. Gas cap (no luck)
    2. Wheel speed sensor (no codes)
    3. Wheel speed sensor harness (will open and dry out and check)

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    No codes. Just checked.

    Maybe a bad ABS module?

This requires a deep scan your standard code reader will not see. You need an Autel or Snapon reader.

A gas cap issue would have generated an emissions code which lights the CEL and TRAC light, not ABS and MTS.

Dealer found a “dying battery” (wink) and a shorting wheel speed sensor. They were nice enough to cover it under the 36 month warranty. So we will see if it gets done well. Literally my final warranty day.

So wow. I’m shocked. The manager did the right thing and covered my battery replacement. That solved the CEL and flashing lights. Paint claim for rear garnish was filed and waiting to hear if they cover that part (as they should). So +1 for Thompson Toyota in Doylestown, PA.

thanks for everyone’s input. Not to solve a squeaky Toyota Sienna when in reverse. Very odd thing.
