Looking to upgrade stock headlights to LED. Are there any downsides to replacing stock halogen bulbs? Beam pattern, fitment, etc... Mine is an 08 with stock projectors (I think)

I’ve had for several years and they’re great. Read up on the other options though. I might have gone a different way absent my assumption at the time that LEDs were superior.

I have Mirimoto XB's I installed on my 2023 ORP. It's a really big improvement over OEM. I've heard a lot of bad things about many aftermarket LED replacements. That's why I chose one of the few top notch options. They have been installed about 8 months now and have been perfect and fog free.

I'm getting older and night driving isn't what it used to be when I was younger. The Morimoto XB's helped with that a lot.

Yes, but if I'm not mistaken, the OEM has led for either the low beam or the high beam.....I could be wrong about that though. I'd have to go out to my shop to take a look.

I did notice a much better illumination at night and as soon as I installed them, I aimed them correctly. I actually lowered the driver headlight a tiny bit more to make it that much easier for oncoming traffic.

I just took a couple pics. Yes, one is LED and the other conventional in my OEM's.

I just replaced mine with some LEDs I found on Amazon and the difference is so amazing. Maybe halogens are better, but the difference is so much that I am happy driving with them. It was difficult to remove the Syvanias from the wire connector.

I live in Virginia where modifying or installing LED bulbs into non-LED marked housing will fail your vehicle for inspection. I have to remove my fog lights from my bumper for inspection because they are not factory…..they either have to be removed or covered with a cover, not tape or foil or anything temporary…… I wish this state would advance with the time and technology….

I grew up in VA mostly. I hated that BS too. On the contrary, I live in Denver now & people drive around with cars literally falling apart. Both situations suck honestly :frustrated:
