    Good morning folks!

New 4Runner owner here and i honestly could not be happier. This has been my dream car for the last 3 years and i finally secured a ‘18 Sr5 Premium here in the midwest. Now my first order of business is to get new tires. I do not do a lot of off-roading, but i fell in love with the look of BFG Ko2s. When i went to order these through costco, i got a weird message saying that the load rating on these can cause unpleasant driving experiences. Is this a major issue? I was looking at 265/70/17 C with a load rating of 112. Is the load message issue something to be concerned about, or is it a non issue? I genuinely appreciate any feedback!

I am running those exact tires and load rating on my 21 Venture and they do ride a little bit (emphasis - very little) harsher that OEM combo street/trail tire, but IMHO they're a great tire and ride. We do trails quite a bit but also lots of interstate driving. I'm completely happy with my KO2's. Also running them on our Land Cruiser but that's a whole different ride situation than the 4R.

I will buy them again when these are done.

I had BFG KO2 LT265/ 70R17 Load C on 3 of my 4runners. I was really happy with them. Not sure if it matters, I got them from discount tire since they price match Costco, Walmart and many other common tire places. With my experience the discount tire store I go to is very capable of install process. I've always had good experience with wheel balance to swapping wheels, TPMS. One time they did a good job fixing my bent Rav4 wheel. So I trust Discount tire over places like Costco/ Walmart/ Sam's.

Thank you for the input! i greatly appreciate it. i am coming from a 2015 equinox, so when you say they ride harsher, could you expand on that? are they louder on the interstate? not so much concerned with MPGs as it is what it is but most of my driving will be on the interstate. thank you!

For sure they are little firm than stock Dunlop Grantrek AT20s but no complaints from wife on roadtrips or long gravel roads with stock suspension.

The only BFG KO2 I regret was LT275/70R17 Load E. It was a bad purchase and got back BFG KO2 Load C.

On another note there's a new version BFG KO3. And this forum has few more threads where people are happy with other tire brands as well. May be worth taking a look before purchasing.

LT tires C load is fine for 4Runners, I had them for over 10 years. The only thing is that LT tires needs different pressure than P tires, I think minimum would be 36 psi to match maximum axle load for 4Runners. Ride might be firmer a little, but I never really felt any noticeable harshness. I got 36-38psi and actually liked that ride a bit firmer. I have Goodyear Duractacs, but wouldn't hesitate to get BFG Ko2s if Goodyear C load stop making Duratracs.
