    My Process

I use a custom press plate that removes variation by aligning and only applying pressure at the proper area.

Do NOT attempt to install if any discrepancy is found.

To expedite shipment, I preorder and keep parts on hand for quick shipment.

    4x4 Install

Torque CV axle nuts with a calibrated torque wrench to 173 lb ft

    Loan-A-Tool
    Torque Wrench (173 lb ft).....
    Socket (35mm)..................
    Puller (if difficult to remove)

A loose assembly shortly after installation means your CV axle nut lost it’s torque.

If the axle nut loses it's torque, forces acting on the assembly will cause the bearing to lose it's press on the hub.

    This can happen many ways:
    • The nut backs off
Clean CV stub threads with solvent after inserting through hub, then apply Loctite 241

    • The CV stub isn't seated fully during installation
Clean CV stub splines of rust/grime and apply anti-seize during installation

    • CV axle turned while torqueing and gave the 'click' feeling falsely
Engage 4x4 and set parking brake before installation

    CV/Knuckle Seals:
    Not included but recommended
    90316-A0001
    (aftermarket options)
    90304-A0001
    (dealership only)
