That new Underground color is BA!

 

Got lucky the last (2) times buying a PRO that there were good colors. I love Lunar Rock but the Underground is also super cool imo. I like it way better than MGM that's for sure.

 

I wanted Underground but ended up saving like 6k getting a 23' MGM with 1500 miles so it was worth it to me but I still love that color!

 

6k is too good to pass up for a color. Still a nice color

Trust me if it was my daily driver I would have gotten Underground but the wife didn't care!

 

Cumulatively this week:
* Toyota OEM Door Guards (color matched)
* Accessorides Remote Start w/Takeover
* Raptor Lights

And today - my first oil change (at the Toyota Dealer for $85 ) at 3,050 miles. Not bad for having it almost 5 months (its not my daily). Plan on bringing it back in at 10k miles for its next oil change.

 

Took her out to get my tat finished. Lol!

 

DIY break-in oil/filter change on my new 2024 Limited @ odo 981. Royal Purple 0w-20 w oem filter. Purring like a kitty. Now eyeballing the pair of Cornfed 1/2" strut spacer sitting in the top of my Husky rollaround and wondering where that time is gonna come from........

 

Installed the Carista OBD. No more seat belt chimes, (dog sets it off) no more blinkers or beeps when locking or unlocking and I can roll the door windows down with the fob. Sadly, there isn't a roll-window-up mode. I also set the doors to not unlock when put into park.

 

SS5s arrived today...

Ordered TRD Pro exhaust and CAI this week for my 22 TRD Sport. Go ahead and flame me if ya want, I did my research and know what I’m buying Curious if anyone has added the TRD Pro exhaust to a Limited/TRD Sport? LMK if anyone comes across this and has.

 

I might agree. Initially, I wanted to remove all the chrome/shininess components, and so did the wheels too. But now that Plasti Dip is off, the look might grow on me.

 

More lights? Oooohhh...

I like the license plate ambers, there's probably a law against that here in California.

 

For now, going to see if the plain look grows on me.

As to the power-coating, the rock sliders are powder-coated and starting to fail from driving off pavement. Would that same failure not happen to the power-coated wheels?

 

I suppose they might. I’ve had great experience with my local powder coating shop. Everything seems to be holding up great for now

 

Nor more lights but roof wiring and splicing, plus all cabling relocating to new head end fuseblock & breaker
Then comes my new dash switch solution built into cubby next to usb

 

While not regarding the wheels, which is your suggestion and I appreciate, attached is my experience with powder-coating on the rock sliders after ~20k-30k miles after installation. Again, not the wheels. Now that I think of it, the wheels not being in that line of fire, for lack of a better description, might weather better. Thanks for the suggestion. I might consider after seeing how the bare look grows on me.

 

FWIW, I expect after I put sliders on, I'm going to be touching them up with Rustoleum or the equivalent at least a couple times per year.

 

If your dog sits in the front seat it can be harmed/killed by the airbag in an accident. My wife is a veterinarian (retired) and she treated many dogs that were hurt that way. If you love your dog put it in the rear area. FYI

 

I'm willing to bet, if your dog is ANYWHERE in your vehicle and you get in an accident, it will suffer harm.

 

If you live in a non-rust belt state, coat them/touch them up once a year. If you live in a rust belt-ish state, do it two or three times per year. Otherwise they look like oxidized chunks of scary looking metal.

Did you get these back from PC yet? There is a set I can pick up really cheap and I'm thinking of selling the dark grey trail rims and picking these up and pc'ing them as well
