My 2nd Gen 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD came with the factory tow package - which includes a transmission cooler. This truck has virtually the same power train as a 5th Gen 4 Runner - except for no transmission oil cooler. I have often wondered why Toyota didn't include that. Perhaps a 4 Runner could be adapted with factory parts from a 2nd Gen Tacoma with a 4.0?

Trucks are meant to tow. Gladiator also has a tranny cooler, but not Wrangler. Let me call the Stealership and find out if Taco's would work.

    Now that’s an interesting question!

My 2nd gen had it as well but the cooler was tiny. If you're doing the work you may as well just go with something larger.

I have the B&M 70268. Dropped temp ~10 degrees and has internal bypass for when cold. Meets all my needs and was able to install with bracket not the push pins into radiator.
