I have tested drove a 2023 4-Runner but it handled liked a truck but it was not important. MY understanding was 4-Runner is a rear wheel drive truck if it was not in 4WD mode.
Then I read about the Limited Full Time AWD feature and I was still confused.
The Limited had H2, H4, and L4. However, only H4 an L4 are 4WD. H4 could only drive under 55 MPH.
It recommended used H2 on normal driving. That meant I could only put in H2 driving on a rain soaked highway at over 70 MPH with no 4WD or AWD since A-Trac wouldn't kick in 2 Wheel mode..
My current SUV is full time AWD in all condition.

Welcome. Sounds like you drove a TRD Sport and not a Limited. The Limited 4WD knob will have H4F, H4L, and L4L.

    2023 Limited does not have H2, H4, and L4. It has H4F, H4L, L4L

You can drive 100mph on H4. The speed limit only applied on changing H2 -> H4 -> H2 on non Limited (part time 4wd) models

    Oooh look, another mod.....

This is not true at all. For any 4Runner trim level (with 4wheel drive). You can SHIFT into 4 high at speeds up to 60 MPH (it may be 65MPH?), but once you're in 4high, you can drive as fast as you want. All the way up to 118MPH. I think that's the top end of our 4Runners.

One-at-this-price stripper. Bought new 34 yrs ago, a $13K leftover. Added Detroit TruTrac, 1”rear spring spacer and “pinstripes”… Factory AC kit and roof rack bought at dealer cost at time of purchase, still blows ice cold 32yrs later. 2022 AG ORP all stock.
    Dial or manual 4wd shift?

Shifting speed limits between 2 part time systems. You are close, 62mph for the electronic selector.
