has anyone found a way to keep this pressed in? any suggestions?

it would keep the annoying chime from going off when I open the door in gear..

what are some of the pitfalls I'm overlooking?

Do you want to just disable it altogether or have a way to temporarily disable?

Disable all together. guessing it would be a matter of pulling the sensor out and connecting the wires?

I think I got it figured out.. it seems when you open the door, the switch closes a single ground wire. Trick is to cut the wire, or insulate the switch plate with electrical tape

Mainly that the alarm won’t go off if some breaks in via the door, the interior lights won’t come on when the door is opened, and if you have push to start it’ll cause you some headaches because it doesn’t always fully shut itself down and power off electronics until you open the door.

Working great so far. Lights auto-activate when passenger doors open. I think the headlights won't auto-shutoff but that's fine.

    Will update if anything unexpected
