Checking in from Nor Cal, bought a 24 underground pro yesterday. This is my first T4R but have/had 4WD trucks for awhile. Looking forward to hitting some trails and doing some camping with the T4R. Thanks for having me aboard.

    First off. Welcome!

Second. Every so often I'll offer to help someone on here but theyre are always half way accross the country. I live in San Jose. Not too far from you. So my plan now is to stalk your every post and offer to help you with anything and everything. Going to install new floor mats? I'll ask if you need help. Wonder what that tire pressure is? You guessed it. Johnny on the spot here; need help?

Thirdly. I'm kidding. Please don't let #2 scare you off.

Ha, ha. I thought I would have to buy the All Weather but didn’t have to. Haven’t had chance to take any decent pix of it yet.

This was before PDI, paper still hanging out of door and dirty from sitting at port. Looks much better now, but need to take a decent picture of it out in light.

Thanks for the welcomes. A bit about me: I work as an aircraft maintenance director for a food company, been doing that line of work for quite a while and am approaching retirement. I’m also a pilot but couldn’t afford to quit my maintenance gig when I was young enough to make it work as new pilot. I still fly a 172 heavy, ha, ha. I’m into cars a bit. Bought my used 429CJ Mach 1 in 1979, I’m not a purist and it’s a bit of a beast that I take out once in a while to scare myself. My Dad bought a new 1983 Chevy short bed step side 4x4 posi Silverado in 1983 and I’ve had it since 2003. I pulled the HP 305 and replaced it with a mild 383 stroker. Running a built 700r4 tranny. Getting ready to pass the Chevy down to my oldest nephew, as he would be my Dads first Grandson and is also a gear head. Passing the Chevy down to nephew is part of my reasoning for the 4Runner. I really like Toyota trucks and have had several, sold my Tundra to help pay for the T4R. Hoping I can resist the mod bug with the pro, but I did order a decent set of sliders already to replace the predator steps.

I haven’t had chance to get it out in the wild yet, I think it may very well be the very best built auto I have ever owned. My boss in the pix

I agree about the engine compartment, it’s really well thought out. it’s nice to be able to actually see the engine. I thought there would be some lights in the grill, must be a Tacoma thing?

Hello From Petaluma! I just picked mine up a week ago. First 4Runner after 4 Tacomas. I love it! You have great taste in color!

I would have loved the black TRD wheels and Nittos. That will be my first undertaking.
