I don't mind my lane Departure alert but it seems to be a little too loud and too long: 5 loud beeps. Is there a setting to change it? I looked through car settings and Carista options but didn't find what I'm looking for.
    Thanks!
P.s. I drove a few other cars and Lane Departure alert wasn't this loud and intrusive. That's why I thought it can be adjusted.

I haven’t run into a toggle for volume. Would be nice though.

    Yes. Can't edit Subject line:(
Vid is talking about Highlander and doesn't talk about how loud alert is.
    Thanks anyway ;)

Even if it's about a Highlander, the settings are similar (not the same though). I have it turned off on my 4Runner, but I don't remember how I did it. I know it's not 100% turned off, I just turned off the audible alert.

Just turn off LDA with that button on your steering wheel :notsure: LDA is a nuisance for daily commute where you may be driving aggressively. I only enable it for long-distance highway driving, in which case you want the loud beeps to wake you up.

Isn't the Lime Departure Alert what goes off at the dealership when they sell one of those Lime Rush models??

LOL, this guy @CalcityRenegade can confirm that.

I always thought it was a warning light that went off, letting us know NOT to buy the Limerush color.

Seriously, all I can think is deal with it, turn it off, or stop crossing the lines if you don't like the beeps.

I don't know how yours is calibrated, but mine doesn't beep until your about a tire-width past the line, so essentially useless for normal driving.

Agree with the other guy about using when I'm tired and driving on the interstate, in which case the loud beeping is a benefit.

    Oooh look, another mod.....

It will also come on ONLY after you drive faster than 32MPH. So yeah, it's kind of simple:

    1) Turn it completely off.
    2) Keep it on, but learn how to stay in your lane.

Yeah, Yeah, "let me make my choices". We aren't telling you what you have to do, we're just explaining the limitations of the thing you're trying to change.

You can't change the volume, but you can change the sensitivity of it.
