What would be the next move if you didn’t have either?
    I’m lifted roughly 3inches.
Beefier Extended rear sway bar end links with the beefier front links as well?
    Or durobumps front and rear

Bump stops. By far bump stops. Bump Stops bump stops bump stops.

I got adjustable links. Haven't done em yet because haven't needed to.

Also 3 inch lift on 33's. I have hit my front tires into the wheel wells. So I'm trying to figure out who has taller bump stops.

I had the aftermarket bump stops on my 2018 tacoma and it definitely was a noticeable improvement and seemed worth the money. The end links in the rear just seem angled.

Which bump stop brand did you go with?

I got timbren and front tires hit the wheel well with them.

I got durabumps but haven't swapped em in yet.

I've heard good things about perryparts on tacoma forums.

Those Perryparts sound interesting, and the price is right too.

Trail4R recently did a write up on them.

Where did it make contact? What’s your offset? I’m curious if I might need to worry about this.

What’s the difference between factory bump stops and aftermarket?

Basically, height and consistency of material (cushier or harder overall, or progressive). A taller bumpstop could be used if you need to could limit up-travel as well.

Probably don't need to worry about it.

    17x8.5 0 offset 285/70/17 KO2

Happened when I was doing like 50 on a fairly smooth dirt road that followed power lines, and then it took a steep dip. Had a lot of weight in the car at the time. Crunched into the plastic wheel wells right above the tires.

I ordered some for a tacoma they ask your lift and tire size and stuff to get you the right size stuff.

I checked the 5th gen 4runners ones and it does not ask those questions. Unless they do when you check out? I was hoping they would be as custom fit as the tacoma ones.

I’m seeing tire options for the front and extended travel shocks for the rear for options!
Would a mid travel 2.5 king rear shock and 2.5-3inch lift coils count for the extended shock option?

When you bought your shocks, it would have said extended. They are like a half inch or inch longer. You would have had to seek out the extended option so you probably don't have extended.

I recently purchased the 4runner and the previous owner installed them. I wonder if there is a way to find out on the shock or if they droop a certain amount further if I lift the rear?

Yeah you definitely could. You'd probably need to disconnect the sway bar and jack it up. But it's highly unlikely they are extended.

I'm also not sure what extended means for bump stops because I think extended means your tires will droop down more for more downward articulation.

I think I’m going to give Perry parts a shot. They emailed me back and said to start with the extended travel ones and if I think it’s restricting the up travel too much he will exchange them with the standard no questions asked for free! $220ish for both is a lot better than the main competition. I’ll see how they hold up. Hopefully they aren’t a gimmick! The 3d printing of them is interesting.

Good feedback. Lot of people have them over in the tacoma forums. They sound legit.

Wheeler's Superbumps front and rear. They are cushy when you bottom out on them.

When you wheel hard, at some point in the build, the sway bar is deleted.

Super tempted to delete the front sway bar. I’m a slower driver but still hesitate on the what if factor for highway driving. I don’t daily drive it though so I am tempted to take it off and see how much it sways/body rolls in curves. I purchased the Perry parts bump stops today. Always have heard good things with wheelers bump stops. Maybe if these don’t satisfy me I’ll go that route. I believe those are cheaper than durobumps/others

I've been looking at Energy Suspension bump stops. They list the 8.9014G as a rear but, since you are running them up front, is it safe to assume I can run them front and rear? It would be great to have a full set for under $100 for all 4 corners.

Recently ordered Perry bump stops front and rear.
Also a simple rear sway bar correction. ACDelco Pro 45G0263.

I also have the DRKDSS trackbar correction.
The only thing left on the lift is front sway bar links but I'm reluctant to change those... So close to the CV boot if it fails it could be a big problem.

If you have the money and time to do all of the corrections for your geometry, do it. If you drive hard, the bump stops will certainly help as well.

Take a look at the mounting scheme on your vehicle. These don't actually fit the rear. Rear bumps use two bolts spaced 4.06 in. apart.

I got the Wheelers bumps with a discount code last summer. Prices have gone up considerably since then. If I were shopping today, I'd try aftermarket knockoff versions of GX470 rear bumps.

Much appreciated! Might go the Energy Suspension front route with GX OEM rears. Everything else seems extremely pricey these days. Cheers!
