    Welcome.

By "at the ramp," you mean at the boat ramp: loading and unloading, right?

If so, just back her in and go. That's a lot of boat (nice one too!). Only thing might be to just drop it into 4W High when you pull the boat out, especially if there's any kind of seaweed on the ramp and/or if it's steep. Goes without saying, but drop the Runner back in the 2W when you need to turn after it's out of the water.

I pull our 22' Sea Ray in and out with our 21 Venture (usually) and also the 22 Limited 4WD (occasionally) and have no issues at all. It's on a tandem axle trailer too and weighs about 4.5k lbs - boat and trailer.

Post pics of your rig - would love to see the boat behind the Runner.

Yep I did quite a bit of leisurely fishing for about 20 years in the Long Island sound. Had a boat in cos cob ct and I’ve been everywhere man. Montauk to the Whitestone and even up the Hudson River. I haven’t been out in years and picked up a lake boat 5 years ago but it isn’t the same. Matter of fact I’m still trying to talk myself into enjoying fresh water fishing.

Welcome aboard! Like @Texoma-Brad mentioned, I want to see pictures of your rig and boat. I've had my eye on a boat just like that for a few years now. It looks like a great fishing boat; but I could never find an accurate weight? (I know they vary a bit based on options)

Looks like a rig to go out and get yourself a mess'of'm, bring'm back, clean'm and fire up the grill! Add a couple of ice cold Dos Equis and that's gotta be what heaven looks like.

    Congrats!

    Thanks, now I have boat-envy.

I hear the two happiest day's of a boat owners life are:

    1) When they buy the boat.
    2) When they sell that boat!

Welcome from Wisconsin! I've used 4LO to pull boats up the ramp. It is effortless for the truck, things move a little slower, less strain on the trans. Some boat ramps are steeper than others also, but generally 4WD. works best. Just don't forget you're in 4WD.

I’m in love. Nice boat. The wife is trying to talk me into a pontoon boat for the lake we live by. That’s like trying to get a race car driver into buying a mini van. We have a place on a small lake that a pontoon boat would be great for but I still like the aluminum fishing boats better like the Lund 1775 adventure or similar. We have an 18ft length and a 199hp rule on the lake as it’s small. Thanks for catching up.

Used to pull 19.5 Chaparral W/v6 4.3 MPI. Lot's of morons at ramp. The ones that don't realize it's a boat & they float! Back down then struggle to push it off. I just got close to water, get out unhook the strap the wife all 5'4 1/2" (she has to get that 1/2" in :)) Have fenders in place, she'd grab the two dock lines, I'd back in thill trailer fenders were fully submerged, hit the brakes & viola she'd walk W/boat to end of dock & tie it up. When retrieving when I started to back down, just grabbed Xfer case handle 4Hi, drive boat on, OD up as I drifted onto trailer, crawl off bow hook strap crank till bow was in cradle & drive out all in < 5min from backing down & away from ramp. Sold boat beginning of last season too hot, 1 weekend day dedicated to what I wasn't into anymore. Didn't miss it last summer & won't anymore. It was a lot of fun.
