It happens lol...i was panicking scrolling through for a 2nd, couldn't figure out why my screen kept showng the same image over and over lolol

 

Scrolling thru I got an extreme case of Dejavu!

It was from a lunar eclipse we had a few years ago..ish....blood moon... although the image may be flipped, I'm thinking the red should be on the bottom..i think lol.. not sure..or what happened

 

What are all the little dots/pixels around the edge?

 

Probably just my phone not being able to handle the light, if I had to guess.. this again was another shot where I put my phone up to the telescope lens, they're not always winners lol

Long time for me too. They’re fun.

 

Phones are notorious for turning up the 'iso' in dark/low light situations which causes all that 'grain' that you see around contrasted edges...

Nikon got back to me about the repair on the P900, it'll be $257...repair & shipping .. better than I thought it would be, but still more than I want to spend, never said what was actually wrong w it though.. good thing the lens wasn't cracked $$$.. .

P1000 is sooooo far away lol

 

That's really not too bad. You're paying for their experience, after all. Do they offer a guarantee/warranty with the repair?

And will they provide a detailed description of the repairs?

 

Since it's not under warranty, and my fault, I don't think so
