I'm running the wildpeak's on my Tacoma now, and I'm happy with them. I've noticed the Toyo's are listed about 5 pounds lighter, both in SL load range. So I'm thinking about trying the Toyo's if I get a new 4R. Are the Faulken's a much tougher tire, worth the extra weight???

    Oooh look, another mod.....
    This is easy:

I pick the Falken's to win in Round 4 by KO.

Owned Falken AT3's, KO2's, and now on my second set of Toyo AT3. Out of all of them the Toyo are by far my favorite. The Falkens are ridiculously heavy for no reason, not that they were a bad tire, but if you can save considerable weight and get the same or better performance, I'd recommend it.

They both seem to get good reviews. I just didn't know if I was missing something or not.

I saw where Falken had a recall on the Wildpeaks about a month ago, not sure if they've gotten that resolved yet.

The AT4Ws are out now, those are even heavier.

I'm considering the Toyos as my next tire, the Falkens aren't in the running due to weight.

I'm leaning that way too, unless someone can convince me other wise.

The new Falken A/T4W's are very heavy but the sidewalls are crazy beefy. A great option if you wheel a lot.
For road use that sidewall is likely overkill.

We're getting another set of AT3 toyo tires as well. Way better than KO2's

Every third thread on this Forum is a Falken thread. Can't you guys see that Falken is working the forums hard to sell their Chinese tires? Come on troops. It's the same thing on any SUV related forum. That's the way they have built their brand.

    Stop feeding the informercials!
