Milwaukee Pack-Out

Just bought the Milwaukee pack out system for the back of my 4Runner, to equip my 4Runner for work with basic tools that we use every day for when I don't want to take my ram 3500 to the job site. This modular system really works well and is constructed really heavy duty. I usually transport all the larger equipment to the jobs with the truck and now I'll just use the forerunner for getting to the job daily when I don't need the truck. This system works so good that I think I'll get another system for all my deep sea fishing gear and the surf fishing gear.

 

Does it tip forward when you stop/drive or is it heavy enough to stay in place? I would think it would still tip forward since it is tall. Hope you strap it down somehow. I do like the pack out system, use the same in my workshop.

 

The bottom storage unit is pretty heavy. Has heavier tools in it. It does not move. It stays in place. I basically am only using the top two in the back so it isn't that tall and it has enough tools for what I need. I only bring the bottom one when I need more. Makes it very convenient for what I do. It's a pleasure not having to take the 3500 to the job every day.

good call on surf fishing gear, i may look into this for that purpose. I usually hit up LBI.

 

We hit the Lavallette, TR, and Brick Beaches; IBSP passes for 2024 were sold out by mid December, seems like you got a reply by the 1st of December now.

 

ive fished there but never tried to get a pass since my schedule never works out that well haha

 

I wonder if my DeWalt tools would rebel at being stored in one of those.

 

Packouts are pretty handy for hauling tools in and out of job-sites. I have the base, and about 8-10 assorted containers and 2 drawer sets. Some of them live in Wisconsin weather year round and seem to hold up pretty well, aside from fading a bit.

I hadn't considered using them for fishing stuff, but that's a good idea! I just picked up a folding wagon for fishing piers and bridges, so I'll probably keep the Milwaukee stuff out of my fishing game for now. Plus, I don't know if I'd want stuff that reminds me of work around while I'm relaxing.

 

Yellow and red go together like ketchup and mustard!

If anything, they might develop an inferiority complex. But, hey, they're almost as good as Milwaukee tools, and they should feel good about that!
